The Western Australian Tourism Awards are celebrating 40 years of recognising excellence in tourism – a significant milestone for their tourism industry. They were the first Australian State or Territory to introduce an annual awards program. Nominations are now open for the 2012 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards.

How to win an Australian Tourism Award
The only way to win an Australian Tourism Award is to enter and win at your State and Territory Awards. All states and territories have an informative website, a program of mentoring or workshops and other tools to help you do your best submission. Set aside the time to enter – in the words of a Victorian 2011 Winner and an Australian Tourism Award Silver Award winner:
“The awards process has been a fantastic one for us. From a business perspective it caused us to look really closely at what we do, and more importantly, what we should be doing! Through that close scrutiny we have identified a number of key areas where we believe we can substantially enhance our business and grow.
The awards night was a fabulous event, a great opportunity to network and make contacts, and a chance to celebrate the winners – we will be back next year!”
