Award winning accommodation and a 5 star wine
Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage, winner of the Hosted Accommodation category at the 2011 Australian Tourism Awards, offers not only award winning accommodation, but owner’s Peter and Sharyn also produce award winning wines from their vineyard located next to the cottage.
Their 2009 Milhinch Seize the Day Cabernet Sauvignon, which retails for $30, has just been awarded 5 stars in the prestigious Winestate Magazine International Cabernet and Blends Tasting. The wine beat many high profile international wines including a 2007 Chateau Margaux Premier Grand Cru Classé priced at $1140.49 which got 4 stars! The wines are all judged against each other despite price bracket.
Guests at the cottage have the opportunity to stroll through the vineyard with Peter and learn what it takes to grow the premium fruit required to make their premium wines. A complimentary bottle of Milhinch Seize the Day wine is also included in the cottage tariff along with many Maggie Beer products (from just up the road!) including her delicious ice creams!
