2013 NSW Tourism Awards launched

The Tourism Industry Council NSW announced the launch of the 2013 NSW Tourism Awards in the presence of the Hon. George Souris (Minister of Tourism, Major Events, Hospitality and Racing, Minister for the Arts) at Parliament House Sydney.

Ken Corbett, the Chair of Tourism Industry Council NSW, unveiled the new look logo of the 2013 award program and announced a reduction in the entry fee for Tourism Industry Council NSW members, a fee waiver on the entry for new members and a special ticket offer for the Dinner and Ceremony for members choosing to enter the Awards program.

He encouraged all tourism operators across the state’s tourism industry to enter into the prestigious awards program this year, to build upon the success of 2012.

The NSW Tourism Awards Gala Dinner 2013 will be on Thursday 28th November at the newly developed Royal Randwick Racecourse Ballroom.

The Tourism Industry Council NSW in partnership with Destination NSW will be providing full-day workshops throughout the 2103 Awards program at various locations around New South Wales. The workshops will be free of charge and open to all tourism operators who are interested in entering the 2013 NSW Tourism Awards.

2013 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards now open for nominations

VTA-LogoThe 2013 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards have launched and nominations are now open on line.  

As part of their involvement, VTIC presents a series of preparatory workshops across Victoria to assist businesses in entering this year’s awards. Workshop attendees are treated to valuable tips and suggestions from judges, mentors and past winners which will assist with writing your submission.The workshop program is already underway- however you still maybe able to book into the remaining workshops

Bendigo – Friday 22 March from 10.00am – 1.00pm at the Bendigo Visitor Centre, Federation Room, 51-67 Pall Mall, Bendigo

Chirnside Park – Monday 25 March from 10.00am – 1.00pm at Yarra Valley Lodge, Heritage Avenue, Chirnside Park

Melbourne – Tuesday 26 March from 2.00pm – 5.00pm at the Melbourne Convention Centre, 2 Clarendon St, Melbourne

Gippsland – Monday 22 April from 10.00am – 1.00pm. Traralgon.

Recognising that Victoria has a number of industry leaders, the Victorian Tourism Awards Unit has enlisted the support of former Judges and Hall of Fame winners to continue the successful Mentor Program. This group of experienced people is willing to volunteer their time and expertise to assist operators with advice and guidance about preparing a quality Tourism Awards online submission.

VTA Mentor Program will commence in March through to July.  An application form is available through ‘Support’ section of the VTA website
